It’s always a controversial topic as staging is surgical and not clinical. A patient may have stage IV disease but no symptoms whereas a stage I patient may have the worst of the symptoms. Different societies have different staging but the latest Enzian Classification /surgical staging is the most reproducible and understandable form of staging and documenting the disease.
