After physical examination, you will be advised to undergo tranvaginal sonography with proper endometriosis protocol of bowel preparation. This sonography helps us to map the endometriotic lesions and helps us plan your surgery. It also provides information if you have endometriosis on the bowel wall and ureter.
Our Approach During Surgery
We routinely do hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, and laparoscopy to rule out lesions of endometriosis in all pelvic organs and during laparoscopy we check for lesions in extrapelvic locations as well.
Diagnosis Post-Surgery
All the lesions excised are routinely sent for histopathological examination and the presence of endometrial like glands and stroma confirms the diagnosis
